I have had pleasure working closely with Jyoti for over 12 years in Piramal Enterprises Limited. I have been associated with Jyoti for nearly 4 years. In this brief time, I not only reported to her, but she also acted as a buddy, mentor and guide to me. She has greatly influenced me personally and professionally. While working together I could see that she has great stakeholder management skills. Her ability to build relations seamlessly, connect with senior leaders with ease, and leverage these relations to execute critical projects or tasks was something to admire constantly. One of the biggest learnings I have had from her is on honest feedback and importance of business learning. I always saw Jyoti as someone who shared her point of view fearlessly and honestly. Jyoti also emphasized on learning about the business and functions in depth which showed in her knowledge of Pharma, BFSI and Investment space. I have had the opportunity to observe her closely multiple times – whether it be during strategic discussions regarding her business with senior leadership or leading/ co-leading group HR initiatives or being an active member of the HR Leadership team at Piramal.  Her ability to perseveringly move beyond the symptoms to address the root cause is admirable.  Coupled with this, her ability to empathise with the stakeholders, and guide them towards possibilities and solutions is a clear fit with what I think her new role requires. I have seen her un-hesitatingly address the elephants in the room and engage with senior leaders with aplomb and ease. I wish her the best.

In her position as Head of HR at Piramal Alternatives, Jyoti and I worked closely together to build a team from scratch in a highly competitive people driven business from 2021 to 2024. Throughout the time we worked together she demonstrated critical skills which made her a key person in my senior management team.   She has excellent people management skills and positive energy which she brings to each situation.
